I think it's important to just try and see what works for you I guess :) Now after even more research I think I could probably survive with less. :)Īnd oh that's cool! I always was afraid to be vegan because I was so afraid of a moderate protein diet. 1900-2000 seems to work well for now, but maybe soon I'll have to go up. So I have slowly been increasing my calories, trying to find a good amount that will allow me to keep my strength and grow muscle while not gaining fat. So I'm okay with the fat for now, mostly just want to build up muscle, so I can lose the fat later. Definitely below 25% body fat, and above 18%. Right now I have some definition and most people would consider me to be thin. I was eating 1300-1600 for a few months while working out and I shredded fairly fast from 138 to 128 lbs and did gain some strength (since I just started to exercise and ate a lot of protein). I'm trying to gain weight slowly, because I want more muscle. That is true! Actually, im an inch taller than you but close enough. Steroids and an emphasis on the obliques and rectus have created a big ugly blocky waist.

In this day and age there is no bodybuilder who can perform that pose. The vacuum was essential in creating that tiny waist to give male bodybuilders that Adonis V-shape. Back in the day of Arnold Schwarzenegger the vacuum was actually one of the poses. The vacuum exercise is probably the most effective exercises to narrow the waist. but the angle and location makes it one of the most difficult muscles to target. Since it wraps around your body when you develop the muscle it acts kind of like a griddle. The transverse abdominis is at an angle and wraps around your body. Avoid working the obliques and rectus abdominis as these will make your waist look blocky. Where abdominal muscles are concerned, developing your transversus abdominis will help to pull in your waist. They're the glute muscles I'm obsessed with since they are critical in running. You can do a ton of gluteus medius and minimus exercises, but those muscles aren't prominent even when well developed. Your shape is actually the most common female form.
